Artist Bio

Steven Koveleski, known widely in the art world as Kovo, is a self-taught artist who turns his traumatic past and personal experiences into a message of resilience and love through his art. Born on August 30, 1992, in New York City, Steven endured profound trials early in his life, including surviving Y2K, the 9/11 terror attacks, and being raised in a fear-based cult. These events ingrained in him a victim mentality that took years to overcome, shaping his life journey and art in powerful ways.

A descendant of a furniture-making family, Steven's family moved to Springfield, Ohio, when he was a child. Here, he was plunged into the family trade at an early age to help make ends meet. His path led him through numerous trials and tribulations, including the struggle with addiction, the collapse of his successful delivery service company, and the tragic experience of an overdose.

Steven found his life's calling in 2020 through the ashes of his past. He quit his job and fully dedicated himself to creating K.O.V.O. Art, turning his nickname into an acronym for "Keep Optimism Validating Outcomes." His art became a medium to share his transformative journey from victimhood to self-empowerment and a tool for self-expression and healing.

Steven's artwork is deeply influenced by the 528 Hz frequency, known as the "frequency of love." His creations represent unvoiced emotions, life lessons, and experiences. Each piece reflects his belief in love's power and the strength of optimism.

Despite being predominantly self-taught, Kovo's art has garnered international recognition. His work has graced prestigious venues and events such as Art Basel in Miami, the Versace Mansion, the James Goldstein Mansion in Beverly Hills, and The Leigh Steinberg's 36th annual Super Bowl event. High-profile endorsements have catapulted his art to an international platform.

Yet, Steven's vision extends beyond his artistry. As a testament to his resilience and success, he aspires to assist other artists by creating an artist management agency. His goal is to guide them toward healing, self-realization, and the harnessing of optimism in their professional and personal lives.
